New schedule for June

June 20 - Birthday of Elena Syrett/Walter Monteblanco teaches the lessons

Elena

Elena is a long-time Firehouse friend. We are delighted to be able to celebrate her birthday. She's a terrific dancer, and the Firehouse tangueros will surely enjoy cutting in on her celebratory dance.

Walter

Everyone loves Walter Monteblanco, who has been a great Firehouse friend since the beginning and has taught for us many times over the years. Walter will teach the basic (7 - 7:30) and intermediate (7:30 - 8:30) lessons on June 20th.

Milonga

Firehouse Tango Milonga and buffet dinner will follow the lesson from 8:30 till 11:15.

June 27 - Last day for Sue before transition to new management/ Karina Romero teaches the lessons

Starting in July, Terri Lopez takes over management of our weekly event. Though my role may change, I'll be there most Thursdays to share the love and excitement of the new Firehouse - Tango Milonga II.

Celebrate with me on Thursday, June 27. I can't wait to dance the non-birthday tango with every single Firehouse milonguero.

Karina comes to us with great experience as a professional dancer and instructor having studied with the most influential teachers in the world, to name a few Graciela Mingo & Ester Pugliese, Gustavo Naveira, Osvaldo Zotto,Luis Solanas,Vilma & Fernanda Galera, Pablo Veron & Omar Vega. Karina will be teaching our Firehouse Tango Milonga the month of July and I am working around her schedule for her to continue.

I decided and she as well as Sue agreed for her to come to Firehouse and teach the class on June 27th before she begins teaching The Firehouse Tango Milonga. Please welcome her.

Save the Date August 25, 2019 - Firehouse Tango and Los Pitucos (Sue and Felix) present Tango on the Hudson 2019

From 2006 thru 2013, we hosted our annual Firehouse Tango on the Hudson picnic milonga at the magnificent outdoor Alpine Pavilion. So many folks have asked us to resume the event, that we're doing it again in 2019. Better yet, for the first time, Felix Pacheco will host with us.

Folks always loved dancing tango and sharing delicious picnic lunches with friends, If you've attended before, you know how great it is. If you haven't, we know you will love it. Don't miss it. Save the date - August 25, 2019.
