December 26th was our 24th Kick-Off Milonga "Debut" Event. For 24 consecutive Thursdays you all decided that Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga II was "the place to be". Everyone is just having such a great time dancing and learning together.

Our first-timers and all-timers, are equally exuding a unique style, comportment, and fresh repertoire. Our gallant guys look so crisp and masculine. Our classy ladies appear so coy and sultry.

Inspiration: Rudolf Valentino as the Argentine Gaucho and first time Tango is performed on screen. Enjoy.. trivia: is the name of the song.. "hotel victoria" ?

Here is what happened:

* Everyone just walked in ready for the lesson and to get on the dance floor until it was time to go. The night just flew by.

* Guest DJ "Cool Carlos" Sampelayo brought us his brand of classics and blend of new sounds that was magnetic and riveted our dancers onto the floor.

*Such a beautiful scene to watch so many of you glide on the wisps of musical notes in each others embrace. Your ear for musicality is evidently sharpened.

* Our guest instructor: Silvana Brizuela-Weigal. Her lesson drew out the daring courage inside of so many of you to boldly try something new. Elegantly done.

Our Brand is Building:

Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga II means impeccable courtesy is the mark of a well seasoned Tanguero/Tanguera. I am hearing wonderful compliments about you all and how others notice it also. Keep it up.

Continued honorable mention to the folks who contributed to our tasty snack table. Your good will and consideration for others is so refreshing. You re all so wonderfully thoughtful.

Barbie brought the hot, good, classic movie Popcorn! please pass the popcorn! Rumor is Mattel will be introducing Tango Barbie with popcorn maker included. Just a rumor. We have the original.

Bridget brought grilled vegetables to keep us healthy. Bob Brillo brought us a sweet mix of cookies that makes you go belly rub yummmm.

Judy, Judy, Judy brought the tempting black and white cookies. Mary Pagano treated us to that melt in your mouth chocolate covered candy. George treated us to the coconut covered shrimp, finger licking good BBQ chicken, sweet cheesecake, and donuts to make a policeman rip up a speeding ticket.

Remember you are welcome to bring over you favorite dish to be added either to the snack table or hot buffet That is always appreciated by all.

Not to forget those top shelf wines!

INTERMEDIATE LESSON: 8:00pm to 8:45pm.

Dress code suggestion is classy, sassy, dignified, but please, no shorts or jeans and for your own safety, no flip flops. Be mindful how my landlord frowns on maring the wood floors.
