TERRI's FIREHOUSE TANGO-MILONGA II
MESSAGE FROM TERRI:
Dear Friends and Members:
Yes, It is all true! We are open for Tango -
Because:
* Our venue meets the criteria to open in the State of New Jersey
* We are small business qualified
* Our recommended capacity limits are temporarily targeted at 31 persons in a space large enough for 125 people - Enough space to accommodate the suggested guidelines recommended by the State of NJ.
* AND because...."Terri's Tango-Milonga 2 is the place to be!"
ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US. It is Tango night for first-timers and all-timers, couples, singles and mingles.
ICE-BREAKER Night:
Happy to report we had such a wonderful time Thursday, 25 June 2020!
Word is out. Our "Ice-Breaker" night successfully and responsibly brought together first-timers and all-timers to Terri's Firehouse - Milonga 2.
The spirit of Tango is self-empowering and so is the camaraderie and mutual respect we show for one another.
We may be unable to control most things, but Tango is not one of them.
One thing for sure is Tanqueros can dance and chew bubble gum at the same time.
Tango gallantry was on display in our gentlemen and ladies last Thursday.
Big thanks to the gallant stranger who jumped into action, shared his playlist, and whisked us onto the dance floor until closing time. All this, and it was the first time this elegant couple has joined us.
As said many times before, it is true, we have always appreciated quality over quantity.
The quality of our friends and members in attendance and supportive of our events are what make Terri's Tango Milonga 2 a great place to be!
Our "Ice-Breaker" night was made complete by all of the well-wishers who wanted to attend, and by the joy, the laughs, the passion, and courage to try new things, from those who did.
Our community represent very well the character of our Thursday Milonga.
Good House-Keeping:
As this Virus scare continues to decline off and the public resume their increasing routines, we will be here to ready to welcome everyone back with open arms, embrace, and dance Tango together responsibly.
Requested Cooperation per Instructors:
In deference to our Instructors; they request mutual cooperation during class time:
Each instructor will convey their requirements. In general let's practice commonsense precautions during class time 7pm - 8:30pm:
1. Appropriate face coverings
2. Couples instruction sequences
3. Singles instruction sequences
[maintain consistent partners - no change ups]
4. Spacing as instructed
General precautionary guidelines:
* As much as we miss each other there are a few suggestions
* We ll adhere to those published by the State of N.J. for Pubs.
* Individual Hygiene - Hand-Sanitizers are located throughout the venue, bringing your own is fine.
* As always, follow your personal physicians advice
* Of course, You know what is best for your own physical and mental health needs
* Your comfort and safety are equally our concern, so let's respect everyone's individual choices as good friends should in accord with your own comfort level.
MEMORANDUM:
We are way beyond the age to be told how to make up our own minds as to what suits us or be lectured on how to demonstrate common courtesy for each other... It is Tango class not Kindergarten class my friends.
NEXT WEEK:
Here is what we will do:
1. Thursday, July 2nd, will be the first start of our grand re-union. Please come out and socialize, mingle, and enjoy each other's company. Just like Tango, we take it step by step. As usual we will start up at 7:00PM to 11:15PM.
2. Ladies gear up for Tango night.
3. Gentlemen bring on your gallantry.
4. Let's resolve to simply have some fun and enjoy each other's company at your own comfort level.
5. Jump back into your groove, recall what you have learned, and let's hit the dance floor. Mingle, socialize, and let's catch up with each other.
* Music by: Javier Sanchez/Bandoneon and Maurizio Najt on keyboard
*Instructors: Grand-masters Analia Carreno and Luis Ramirez
Everyone is welcome; One and all, singles, mingles, couples, first-timers and all-timers.
I missed you all so very much!
