Firehouse Tango-Milonga II Events Updates!!

Message From Terri:

The first Kick-0ff Milonga Debut on July ll, 2019 was amazing!

Thunderstorms nor flood warnings or torrential rain kept our Milongueros and Milongqueras from our first Kick-Off. I thank you all.

Rain-soaked or not they proudly sashayed in one by one or two by two, undeterred and ready to dance the night away.

Our guest instructor was Jorge Carmona, who is Karina Romero's partner. It went into overtime because of the overwhelming reception by the people taking the lessons.

The Milonga began by featuring the spirited sounds spun by DJ Richard Ariza and whisked us away beyond ll:15PM.

It is with a heavy heart that I was informed Karina's mom passed away and she had to fly to Argentina.

We all express our sincere condolences to Karina and her family.

We will embrace Karina Romero upon her return on the 18th of July, when she and Jorge will teach the classes together.

We will celebrate Karina's Birthday on the 18th. Jorge and Karina will perform a Birthday dance, and after that all Milongueros are invited to cut in and dance with Karina.

Our 2nd Kick Off continues next Thursday, 18th of July. Rain or shine, our Milongueros and Milongueras cannot be stopped, we will keep on dancing.

Our surprise guest DJ will be our very own Sue D.

Permit me to take this moment to sincerely express my deepest heartfelt appreciation to all who braved inclement weather to ensure the success of our first Kick-Off Milonga. You re all simply amazing.

I was in "7th Heaven" inspired by your heartfelt encouragement and well-wishes. You made this a complete success and I thank you all.

"Everyone is Welcome! Firehouse Tango-Milonga II is a cooperative venture, run by dancers for dancers and anyone interested in learning or hanging out with us. Our goal is to collectively provide an environment in which everyone who joins us has the chance to dance and learn Tango, to meet other people who dance and want to learn how to Tango, and generally to have a really wonderful time."
