The word is out. We are the place to be every Thursday night. Really nice, high energy turn-out.
Warm welcome to our 15 first-timers and to those who haven't visited us for a while, but decided to join us again.
I missed being with you all but " I spied" our Milongueras and Milongueros were classy, sharp, and the line of dance on the floor moved so elegantly in unison. It was enjoyable to watch it.
Everyone was enjoying themselves. The ambiance was low-lights and tasteful embrace. Our gentlemen were strident and our ladies were graciously demure.
Our guest instructor was Karina Romero. She and her partner, Jorge added sparks and fire, slide and glide, sass and class, to a packed room lesson. Simplicity over complexity are paying off. Our guys and growing in confidence and daring. Our ladies are encouraging them. The result is a dance floor that sways like a sea of tall grass in a private dance with the gentle
breeze.
The Milonga began with the smooth sounds of "Raging" Richard Arizi. No doubt about it but good vibes filled the air, filled the dance floor, and you danced the night away to the light fantastic.
Well deserved praise moment: This last class was full, again. Who can feel the self- improvements? It is observable. You're learning. Protocols are followed. Style is developing. Laughs were audible. You make it look easy. I'm so proud of all of you. Keep it up and keep coming back. Invite a friend.
Next Thursday: Our guest Instructors by popular demand are Karina and Jorge. The chemistry works.
Exclusively for our Firehouse Tango-Milonga II participants, she will provide private lessons. Call for an appointment: 1 646 342-9910
Our 6th Kick Off continues next Thursday, 15 August. Rain or shine, or heatwave, our Milongueros and Milongueras will not be stopped, we will keep on dancing.
Our surprise guest DJ will be the one, the only, the irrepressible, rock-steady; DJ Sue Dee.

My update: Thank you all for the calls, messages, well-wishers, flowers and visits. My biggest complaint is the Rehab Therapist do not allow me to wear tango shoes in therapy. What kind of joint is this?
