Thanks to you all, we are becoming known for a really fun and friendly crowd with smooth moves and Tango authenticity. The electricity in the room generated high energy and non-stop dancing. The word is spreading that we are the "best Milonga in Bergen County".
We have the unstoppable die-hards, who will keep dancing to the last minute of the last "La Cumparsita".
First timers have noticed how everyone comfortably lingers onto the final wisp of music, intermingle, and bid each other good-night until we meet again next Thursday.
"DJ Sue Dee" kept us on our toes with the swaggering sounds of Argentine Tango and spiced it up with a "Tanda" of variety mix of latin, swing, bachata; very cool.
Notice, we are attracting a diverse crowd of people. I am subscribing the names of so many folks interested in learning Tango. They seek us out and find us through social media, word of mouth, and even Yelp Ads. Others have telephone or telegraph, but we have tell-a-tanguero.
I tell them also, how proud we are of our gallant gentlemen, good music, and Tangueros, making us the envy of the Tango community. Our ladies dress classy, dance so refined, that the secret is out; you are clearly the inspiration.
Kudos to all of you who are picking up on the art of "Tango seduction". The dance begins with the eyes, then posture, self- confidence and coyness. Karina's module of instruction was very informative. It showed immediately in your style.
**"Tango Etiquette": In the art of Tango seduction, it is more than steps and moves, but mastering courtly conduct also. It projects an air of confidence but tempered by impeccable good manners.
Tango encourages our guys to "coax" the lady onto the dance floor, to "court" her , "beguile" her, "win" her into his masculine embrace. The gentleman is dashing, the lady is hesitantly demure.
First and foremost, it is always the ladies feminine discretion over her level of resistance before she is persuaded. In Tango, the gentleman has to win her over. Guys be gallantly chivalrous but resolute. Ladies be artfully coy but consenting. **
Our guest instructors, Karina Romero and Jorge Carmona led a dynamic lesson of traditional Tango they will continue teaching us the Tango state of mind, attitude and art of the dance. Our secret is
simplicity over complexity, improves your personal technique, command over your steps, dignified self-image, and Tango etiquette. Even first-timers overcome any initial trepidations and feel like they fit right in all along.
It is worth restating, all of you have developed your own unique individuality and personal style, that belongs to you. It is all yours. Claim it and name it. This is the beauty of Tango.
