Guest DJ "Ragin Richard"Ariza enchanted us with his variety of musical maestros, mixing "the Golden Age" of 20's to 50's Tango!
It is good to train your ears and feet to the traditional artists of this classical era. Our Guest DJ's understand this and mix their spins so "he" knows what lead to take, and "she" knows how to follow.
You will learn to recognize the different styles by names, such as; "Canaro", "D'Areinzo, "Biagi", "De Angelis", and "Di Sarli". These are a few of the most recognizable sounds, among others.
The dance floor resonated with the steamy, hot sultry Tandas, and melancholy voices which continue to inspire our die-hards up to the last note of the last song.
I intend to continue offering a unique mixture and wide variety of favorites every Thursday, to enrich your repertoire, and allure our Milongueros and Milongueras to occupy and dominate any dance floor.
We become richer in our dance skills when we experience a variety of selections that each guest DJ bring us. Good listeners make good Tango leaders.
Wait till you see the talented and fun line up of guest DJs I am working on for you to the end of 2019.
Our guest instructors; Karena Romero and Jorge Cardona, continued to teach us the seductive art of Tango and dance etiquette so finely demonstrated by our gallant gentlemen. Keep this going. It conveys the subtle sexiness and quiet strength that is the magic of Tango.
Your posture and eye to eye gaze exude subtle self- confidence on the dance floor.
Notice how everyone is falling into their roles beautifully, making the invite to dance welcoming yet coy, seductive yet aloof, all at the same time. This is the allure, mystique and mastering the art behind Tango.
Value your time with our instructors. Follow their lead, pay attention, and stay focused while they demonstrate. Avoid distractions.
You're looking good, but there is always more to learn, even from each other. Impeccable courtesy is the mark of a well seasoned Tanguero/Tanguera.
The dim-lights, flickering candles ambiance and captivating music help set your Tango mood. This will continue. It transports you to the smoky, side alley cafes of Argentina, without a plane ticket.
A diverse crowd of people are in steady attendance. Word is spreading, that our gentlemen are gallant. Our ladies are classy. Our public image is refined.
Our event is growing nicely, because we continue to be welcoming to everyone. We only get one chance at a first impression. Gallantry, impeccable courtesy, class is what we are and how we do it around here.
Also, recall how you felt when you were a first timer anyplace. Summoning the courage to walk into a room of people you do not know yet is not so easy.
So be a bit patient and courteous to first timers. Cut them some slack. Give them the space to acclimate to our protocols.
Allow me to exercise the public relations. Bring any egregious concerns to me directly and discreetly. Low profile. I'll do the rest. Thanks. I appreciate that.

Thank you to the vivacious and witty Doc Sharon and keen eye of "Black Hat Jake" Rovito. Give them a like on our Facebook page.
**"Tango Etiquette": In the art of Tango seduction, it is more than steps and moves, but mastering courtly conduct also. It projects an air of confidence but tempered by impeccable good manners.
Tango encourages our guys to "coax" the lady onto the dance floor, to "court" her , "beguile" her, "win" her into his masculine embrace. The gentleman is dashing, the lady is hesitantly demure.
First and foremost, it is always the ladies feminine discretion over her level of resistance before she is persuaded. In Tango, the gentleman has to win her over. Guys be gallantly chivalrous but resolute. Ladies be artfully coy but consenting. **
Our guest instructor, Karina Romero and partner will continue teaching us the Tango state of mind, attitude, and art of the dance.
The one on one sessions clearly boosts your confidence and sharpens your skills. You re ready to move upward and onward to next level stuff, this is where it is paying off for all of you.
Even your hand movements, eye contact, and expression, all convey the tango attitudes, and your stride toward personal excellence. Bravo. Trust me, it is showing.
Our secret is simplicity over complexity improves your personal technique, command over your steps, dignified self-image, and Tango etiquette.
It is worth restating, just how quickly so many of you overcame your initial shyness that is normal to the first time in a group setting. Then just as quickly, developed your own unique individuality and personal style that belongs to you. It is all yours. Claim it and name it. You got this.
