Every week I receive emails from different parts of the country and abroad expressing how they enjoy our videos. Some from as far away as Argentina express their happiness in watching and praising all of you say they wish they were here with us too! They all ask me to please keep posting the videos.
Thoughts and Prayers:
Our dear friend and fellow Milonguero, Carols Sampelayo has been under close medical care recently. His family has asked for thoughts and prayers for his speedy recovery. Carlos is a well known dancer, instructor and DJ who has taught and entertained us for many years. He is a good friend and exceptionally fun character.
Get well cards and morale boosters are welcome from our wonderful Tango Community. Send them to:

TANGO REPORT:
Our September 30th 2021 Milonga was a fun success. The energy that our Milongueros and Milongueras brought with them vibrated through the walls, floor and tango ceilings.
We all continue to our
traditional Tango journey together.
Nothing can stop our Milongueros and Milongueras from not expressing our passion for Tango.
Together, we make this Milonga like no other around.
Thank you for the support and dedication you give to make Terri's Milonga the best. (I thought of changing the name to Terri's Tornado & Flood rain Milonga) "Well" just a thought.
Our Masters of Argentine Tango Analia Carreno and Luis Ramirez are here every Thursday to coach us at our increasingly popular Group Class.
All levels are invited to join the class including the seasoned dancers. Everyone is welcome to join in for the fun.
Your dedication and fiery passion are what makes Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga....

CELEBRATIONS:
We had a belated birthday celebration for our friend and DJ Mayok (Urszula Abolik with a Champaign toast.
The gallant milongueros lined up for the birthday dance with Urszula. It was a fun night.
Our Masters of Argentine Tango Analia Carreno and Luis Ramirez guided the popular group lesson that is available for all levels.

DJ Urszula Abolik had us dancing throughout the night with her romantic selections. She added some spicy Cortinas that kept everyone on the dance floor. (She will be back).
TERRI'S TANGO TEAM REPORT:
Shout out to Tibor. He is not only a wonderful greeter but he effectively keeps the door traffic flowing making every minute count for fun and Tango. He also takes all the videos of the Group Class, after lesson demonstration and our Milongueros and Milongueras for us to enjoy afterwards. Tibor trouble shoots when we have technical difficulties. What a guy, priceless!

Our charming and excellent DJ Jack Hanley is back. He will play his most popular play list and Cortinas. He is back by popular demand for his talent and fun interaction with the Milongueros and Milongueras.
Jack's talents and popularity keep him in high demand. I am so happy to book him for us as much as possible. So be sure to join us in our continued celebration of traditional Argentine tango.

Our variety Cortinas:
We add adobo and sofrito to spice up our Cortinas. Our Cortinas are a delicious mix of Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Cumbia and social style dance that simply keep up the mood with sabor [flavor]. Yet, we consistently remain loyal to our roots.
Remember and Remember here is where we always keep the traditional Argentine Tango alive!

Our members continue to learn from each other as well. I adore the comments I read online about all of you. So proud of you.
We get a wonderfully fun crowd, lovely turn out, fantastic music, and just a steamy vibrant dance floor.
Everyone is welcome to join us. We are fully open. So don't forget invite all of your friends and the tango-curious to come on by and have fun here with us.
Share the videos and photos with your friends on social media and encourage them to join us. We are not snooty here.
NEW STUFF:
Encourage each other as much as I encourage you. Praise each other, compliment each other, and coach each other. We are not competitors. We are Tango dancers and Tango friends. Etiquette and good manners set us apart from everyone else.
TALKING POINTS:
Our newsletters is peppered with tango terminology, history, and bits of factoids to help expand your Tango knowledge.
Tango is not only about learning steps, but understanding and listening to the music.
Each artist interprets the same music /song that you dance to, but the musical styles are different.
Your ear, needs to listen so that you can dance to each interpretation from those artists elegantly.
It is written all over the place that the best way to improve your dancing is to know the music you are dancing to as your body moves with the different styles, so that you may look and be lead gracefully on the dance floor. Your style is yours. Own it.

INSTRUCTORS REPORT:
I offer everyone top shelf master instructors that lead by example, coach you, improve your self confidence, and sharpen the skills you've already learned. Our seasoned dancers and our new comers feel at ease. No fear. We all learn from each other. We all coach each other. We all enjoy each other like no place else.
Where ever you go to dance your own unique style will be evident and noticed.
Naturally, every instructor has their own style and methodologies. What works and what sticks with you is all that counts.
NOTE: Analia Carreno and Luis Ramirez are available for private lessons.
**The dance hall is available to us exclusive every Thursday. We are offering private, one on one lessons, by appointment. Call me for details. **
BRAGGING RIGHTS:
It has become quite evident that no matter where our Milongueros and Milongueras go to dance, their style and versatility are immediately recognizable as "you must be from Terri's Firehouse Tango-Milonga II!"
Every seasoned Tangueros feel right at home here because you are always welcome. So continue to come by and join us for the fun of it.
Everyone benefits from the lessons and we all enjoy the exchanges of style, variety and comportment towards one another.
Thursday nights with us are the Tango kick-off so come on over. This is the place for all Tanqueros from everywhere to Tango. If you can only Tango one night a week, Thursday nights with us is the place you want to be.
Fun is the operative word. We are not only a showcase for the Tango Community, but the place to go and simply have fun, enjoy really good people and dance like you just don't care!
