Tonight and next Thursday's Lessons at Firehouse Tango devoted to Milonga

On October 19th and 26^th, we’ll be devoting our intermediate class to the fundamentals of this exciting, up-tempo dance. As in the past, these lessons will be cumulative with each session building on the one before. So plan to be with us for both weeks. Get to the Firehouse early, and don’t miss a moment of this outstanding, celebration of one of Argentina’s great dance traditions.Join Pat and Fran for a two-week-long exploration of milonga.

Halloween Milonga next Thursday, October 26

Our Halloween (always one of the highlights of our year) party features:

Door prizes
Parade of the Firehouse Tan-ghost and Tan-goblins
Awards for best couple, most creative, funniest and sexiest costumes
Extra time to dance and celebrate. We'll go till 11:45.
Tango/Milonga lessons by Fran Chesleigh and Pat Altman
Buffet dinner

Join us on Thursday, October 26th for our fifteenth annual Firehouse Halloween Milonga (Basic tango lessons from 7:00 to 7:30, and milonga lessons from 7:30 - 8:30.)

If you don't have a costume, don't let it keep you away, but come, dance and cheer for your friends. Costumed or not, expect a great evening. In addition to awards for the most creative, best couple, funniest and sexiest costumes, we've got some great door prizes (costume not required to be eligible.)

Of course, also included in the low price of only $15 are lessons taught by Fran Chesleigh; a buffet dinner; and dancing and socializing with the fabulous Firehouse tangueros.

Hudson Dance Studio is conveniently located just minutes aways from George Washington Bridge. We are close to following points of interest:
– across from Edgewater Ferry Terminal
– across from Lukoil gas station
– across from residential white building ‘Admiral Walk’
– on the corner of River Road and Route 5
– a few blocks away from Whole Foods market
– bus 158 stops conveniently in front of the studio, bus stop is called ‘Route 5’

PARKING:
There is parking in front of the studio with about 25 parking spots. Another option to park is municipal parking (free after 6pm) – across from the big white residential building ‘Admiral Walk’ on River Road. You pass the studio on your left and after the intersection parking is on your right. There is parking behind the dance studio on Hudson Avenue and side streets of Hudson Avenue.

BEGINNER LESSON: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., taught by Fran Chesleigh & Pat Altman INTERMEDIATE LESSON: 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., taught by Fran Chesleigh & Pat Altman MILONGA: 8:30 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. with the world's friendliest tango crowd!!!

Join us at the Maywood Columbian Club Hall every Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. for an evening of Argentine Tango with a sprinkling of Latin and swing. The Beginner lesson begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. and the Intermediate lesson is at 7:30 p.m. (It's OK to come a bit early to warm up and get ready.) The milonga follows from 8:30 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. We serve a great buffet, and you can bring food and wine, if you'd like. Admission of $15 covers both the lesson and the milonga. We ask that people not wear jeans. Singles and couples of all ages are welcome.
