MESSAGE FROM TERRI:
Terri's Haiku
"A good dancer is one who listens to the music We dance the music not the steps. Anyone who aspires to dance never thinks about what he is going to do. What he cares about is that he follows the music. You see, we are painters. We paint the music with our feet."

TANGO REPORT:
Our November 11, 202l Milonga had a great turn out for Judy and John Koski's send off. It was such a show of genuine affection, friendship and the true character of our Tango community. It was a colorful mix of dancers, great music and everyone had a blast of fun together. We have the best chemistry.
We consistently attract an equal blend of gallant men and classy women to our Milongas. You all looked magnificent.
DJ Marcos Blanco played fantastic Tangos and Cortinas that we all enjoyed immensely. His selections and keen knowledge of tango artists add a splash of panache for our Tango enjoyment. What is also praiseworthy is how he diligently customizes a playlist just for our Milonga.
His appreciation for our uniqueness and style is what keeps us dancing all night long to the music we love, at the place we love, with the people we want to dance with every Thursday night.
Our wonderful instructors, Monica Romero and Omar Campo were such a delight to all of us. They were the highlight of the evening. They smoothly coached the group lesson, they were fun and instructive. They both danced with all of us throughout the night as well. They really know how to set the standard for how to jump right in and join the party. They are wonderfully approachable and easy-going. They know they are always welcome here and
I will arrange to schedule them again. (See demonstration of the end of group lesson video).
Give yourselves a round of applause. Together, we make this Milonga like no other around.

Here is the end of group class demonstration by Monica Romero and Omar Campo (Los Ocampos)
You'll be pleased to meet Tibor. He is not only a suave greeter but his door management and traffic flow is what makes every minute count for your fun and Tango time.
He also takes all the videos of the Group Class, after lesson demonstration for our Milongueros and Milongueras to enjoy afterwards.

TALKING POINTS:
Our newsletters is peppered with tango terminology, history, and bits of factoids to help expand your Tango knowledge.
Tango is not only about learning steps, but understanding and listening to the music.
Each artist interprets the same music /song that you dance to, but the musical styles are different.
Your ear, needs to listen so that you can dance to each interpretation from those artists elegantly.
It is written all over the place that the best way to improve your dancing is to know the music you are dancing to as your body moves with the different styles, so that you may look and be lead gracefully on the dance floor. Your style is yours. Own it.
Courtesy Corner: Common courtesy, good manners and tango etiquette always go a long way in making and keeping friends. What happens at Terri's Firehouse Tango - Stays in Terri's Firehouse Tango!
